In Kyrgyzstan protesters to unblock strategic route

The demonstrators in southern Kyrgyzstan, blocking the strategic highway Bishkek-Osh, agreed to unlock it, according to AKI.

Once adopted such a decision, the protesters, according to 24.kg began to disperse. At the same time they threatened to come tomorrow (June 1) and then block the road if their demands are not met.

The meeting at the Bishkek-Osh highway was organized in connection with the protracted conflict over the state enterprise Kyrgyzneftegaz. The company, as noted, in fact, dual power was established. One part of the group supports Kanybek Masirova, who headed the company since the April uprising in 2010, while others favor Keneshbek Masirova, who was later appointed head of the company's shareholders' decision. The supporters of both leaders have repeatedly staged protests.

Today's rally organized by supporters of Kanybek Masirova. They demanded that his opponent was removed from the management company. In addition, the protesters called for the resignation of some officials who are responsible (according to participants of shares) for the conflict in the company. The action, according to various sources, brought together from one to four thousand people.

Proponents believe Kanybek Masirova appointment of a new director part of a secret plan to privatize the company, in which it can pass under the control of one of the ruling parties in Kyrgyzstan.

Reacting to the protests, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Atambayev introduced Kyrgyzneftegaz external management, appointing the manager (of a Jenishbek Dzhumasheva) and suspending the powers of the board of directors. Participants of the meeting, for his part, said that this decision does not suit them.
