In Kyrgyzstan, disclosed a criminal case of the death of former head of presidential administration Medet Sadyrkulov. It is reported by news agency 24.kg, referring to the Interior Ministry.
The Interior Ministry claimed that the version according to which Sadyrkulov was the victim of a murder (and not a random accident, as previously thought), was confirmed. It is reported that the investigation arrested 16 (according to other reports, 17) persons, including senior officers, law enforcement agencies.
In particular, arrested the former chairman of the Border Service of the Republic Zamir Moldoshev. He is suspected of aiding and harboring offenses. Go, citing sources in the Interior Ministry, said that involvement in the murder suspect and former Interior Minister Moldomusa Kongantiev.
Ordering the murder investigation said Zhanysh Bakiyev – brother of former Kyrgyz President (at that time died Sadyrkulov, president's brother served as head of the State Security Service).
In the near future, the Interior Ministry will organize a press conference at which more details will be announced.
Medet Sadyrkulov supervised administration of Kurmanbek Bakiev from 2007 to 2009. He was considered a gray eminence of the president, who had great influence on the president.
Sadyrkulov died in March 2009 in an accident near Bishkek. In the course of an investigation conducted after his death, it was announced that the culprit was a traffic accident Omurbek Osmonov – the driver, Audi, faced with the Lexus, which was Sadyrkulov. The court sentenced Osmonov to 12 years in prison. The punishment, he served in a penal colony. Less than a year after sentencing Osmonov was killed: unknown inflicted 11 stab wounds.
After the death of Sadyrkulov in the press speculated that he was the victim of assassination. However, an official in the reign of Bakiyev this version is not received.
