DESCRIPTION OF THE MOUNTAIN
In Kyrgyzstan, a mountainous territory is sometimes defined as the area located above 1,000 meters above sea level, and sometimes even higher than 1500 m According to the first definition, 94% of the country are mountainous areas, and according to the second definition – 90%. Given the widely used definition of Chapter 3.1, the category of the mountains will treat the smaller the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Perhaps the flat area around Lake Issyk-Kul, and some other high-altitude plateau, we could not relate to the mountain areas.
However, the scientific explanation of this issue can easily be left for future generations, without any harm to the activities of existing generations.
