In the ballot included 16 candidates. Voters also have the opportunity to vote against all. Turnout in presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan does not exist. To win in the first round a candidate must win more than 50 percent of the vote. The main struggle for the presidency, according to Kyrgyz political scientists, will be between Prime Minister Atambaev, former Speaker of National Parliament Adakhan Madumarov and ex-Minister of Emergency Situations, the leader of the party Ata-Jurt / Fatherland, Kamchibek Tashiev.
Atambayev is believed to be supported in the north, and Tashiyev Madumarov and support the people of the south.
